Beyond the Law

Three drifters, Billy Joe Cuddler, Preacher, and his African-American assistant, a demobilized soldier, steal a mine's payroll from a moving stagecoach in Silvertown after the Civil War. They successfully pull off the heist and evade suspicion, but their plans for another robbery are put on hold when they become heroes after saving the stagecoach from a bandit attack. Billy Joe Cuddler is even asked to temporarily take on the role of sheriff after the town sheriff is wounded, but he still intends to steal the next mine payroll and silver shipment. Meanwhile, a notorious outlaw and his gang plan to attack the town during the fiesta and seize the silver shipment.
