On the planet of Luminaire, in the city of Luminicity, a sinister Baron Dark attempts to steal the Lightstar Crystal, shattering it and gaining dark powers. He transforms into a living skeleton, able to turn others into skeleton warriors with a dark heart. Opposing him are Prince Lightstar, Princess Talyn, Prince Grimskull, and Ursak the Guardian, while a conflicted skeleton warrior named Shriek harbors an unrequited love for Prince Lightstar.
