Vincent & Theo

Two Dutch brothers, Vincent and Theo Van Gogh, living in Paris in the late 19th century, share a passion for art, but their lives take different paths. Vincent, a struggling painter, lives in poverty to pursue his artistic vision, while Theo, an art dealer, prioritizes comfort and success. Despite their differing lifestyles, they both struggle with their own demons, including addiction and personal turmoil. The film explores the complex relationships between the brothers, including Vincent's stay in Provence with Paul Gauguin, and Theo's marriage to Jo Bonger, who becomes increasingly uncomfortable with Vincent's presence. The story also delves into the brothers' individual struggles, including Theo's battle with syphilis and Vincent's emotional pain, which leads to his infamous self-mutilation.
