Two photojournalist friends, Mark and David, document wars together, but when David decides to return home to his pregnant wife in Dublin, Mark stays behind, promising to follow soon. However, after a week, Mark returns, wounded, while David remains unaccounted for, leaving Mark's girlfriend Elena and her grandfather, a psychologist, to wonder if Mark's emotional detachment and slow recovery are signs of trauma or a sign of war's deeper toll.
