A mother struggles to raise her children in difficult circumstances, while her son works in a copper mine. When she discovers a mysterious note suggesting he's joining the war, she becomes frantic. As news of her son's friend's fate spreads, Olfat waits anxiously for word about her own child. With each passing day, she becomes obsessed with hearing the names of Iranian captives announced on the radio, carrying it everywhere in the hope of finding out what has happened to her son.
