The movie tells the story of General Feng Zicai, a 70-year-old warrior who joins the battle against the French army in 1885, along with his two sons, to protect their country. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, General Feng uses his experience and knowledge of the terrain to devise strategies and adapt weapons to their situation, boosting morale and ultimately leading to a Chinese victory.
