A Portuguese couple, Maria and José Ribeiro, have lived in a luxurious Parisian building for thirty years, earning the admiration of their neighbors with their exceptional skills - Maria as a caretaker and José as a handyman. When they announce their decision to return to Portugal, the community is devastated and will stop at nothing to keep them from leaving.
