In 19th century London, barber Sweeney Todd lures wealthy clients to his Fleet Street shop, murdering them for their money. Todd uses his ill-gotten gains to fund his plan to force Stephen Oakley's daughter Joanna to marry him, but her boyfriend Mark Ingerstreet's return from a wealthy voyage threatens Todd's scheme, sparking jealousy in Mrs. Lovatt.
