The Apostate background

The Apostate

In this chilling thriller, a haunting art installation is created using the blood of San Juan, Puerto Rico's victims, and a Jesuit priest becomes personally invested in solving the murders due to his connection to the case.

An agnostic Jesuit priest, whose brother was murdered, visits the crime scene and becomes embroiled in the investigation. He believes the killer is a talented painter struggling with faith and anger towards God. The priest's own past is revealed, including his own artistic talent, a past relationship, and attraction to a life-drawing model. The prime suspect is an aging local artist, but is he the real killer?
