Two high school baseball teams from Michigan, the Sturgis Trojans and Pinconning Spartans, embarked on a season-long journey to become the best in the state in 1999. Both teams were built by determined communities that aimed to win, and they faced off in the MHSAA state championship at Bailey Park.
