Sleeping Giant

A family of three, the Hudsons, spend their summer at a Lake Superior cottage, where they attempt to maintain a perfect image. The 15-year-old son, Adam, is still emotionally connected to childhood and follows parental rules. However, he's torn between his desire to pursue a crush on Taylor and his fear of ruining their friendship. As Adam hangs out with rougher cousins, Riley and Nate, he gets caught up in their reckless behavior, which includes vandalism, smoking, and dares. Meanwhile, Adam's parents' perfect facade begins to crumble, forcing him to confront the imperfections of his family and grow up quickly without guidance.
