In this horror-comedy, a group of teenagers accidentally awaken a malevolent demon while vandalizing a 19th-century Chinese laborers' cemetery. As the demon begins to slaughter the townspeople, one of the teens, Jeff, kidnaps a washed-up B-movie star, Bruce Campbell, to save the town. Initially thinking it's a prank, Bruce plays along, but soon realizes the demon, Guan-Di, is real and threatens the town.
