A young Kayan woman, Mu, flees Myanmar as a child and is confined as a refugee and tourist attraction in Thailand. She becomes a single teenage mother and gets an opportunity to start a new life in the USA through a UN resettlement plan. Despite the challenges, Mu decides to leave her traditional mother, culture, and tribe behind to pursue freedom and a better life for her baby.
