Metropolis

In a futuristic Metropolis, a wealthy resident named Freder discovers a hidden world of workers who keep the city running. He becomes fascinated with Maria, a woman who advocates for unity between the wealthy and the working class. As Freder learns more about the workers' struggles, he decides to help them, but his father, the city's founder, has other plans. With the help of an inventor, Rotwang, he seeks to quash an impending uprising and shut down the machines, putting the entire city at risk.
