In February 1945, Auschwitz survivors, including Primo Levi, embarked on an eight-month journey home. Sixty years later, a film crew retraced Levi's steps, using his words from "The Truce" to recount his experiences. The journey took them through post-war Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldavia, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia, highlighting the remnants of war and the struggles of the time. The film concludes with Levi's return to Turin, where his friend Mario Rigoni Stern reflects on the enduring issues of the war.
