Good Fortune background

Good Fortune

In Kenya's impoverished regions, a trio of individuals reveal the unintended consequences of well-meaning global initiatives aimed at reducing poverty, which may actually be causing harm to their communities.

The West has spent $2.3 trillion in charitable aid over 50 years, yet poverty levels in Africa remain unchanged. In fact, some aid efforts have even undermined the communities they aimed to help. The documentary "GOOD FORTUNE" offers a unique perspective on foreign aid, seen through the eyes of those it is intended to assist. The film follows three individuals in Kenya as they face the consequences of large-scale development projects.
