Amelia seeks a fresh start by leaving behind toxic relationships and moving into a new home with her roommate Melinda in a sketchy neighborhood. She works from home and waits for acceptance into art school, while Melinda dominates their relationship. Amelia finds solace in a true friendship with David, a fellow artist, and eventually starts a romantic relationship with him.
