Carrie Blackford, a successful event planner in New York City, has her life turned upside down after a car accident. She wakes up in Central Park with an older man, Henry, who is her spirit guide, and is tasked with fulfilling one last duty on Earth before she can move on to Heaven. Carrie's mission is to help a widowed young restaurant owner, Scott Walker, who is struggling to keep his business afloat. With the help of Henry, Carrie must guide Scott and his daughter to turn the restaurant around before midnight on Christmas Eve.
