Boom! background

Boom!

A penniless poet shakes up the life of a wealthy woman, bringing a sense of purpose and fulfillment that uncovers a previously unknown emptiness.

Tennessee Williams' play "The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore" is adapted into a film, featuring Dame Elizabeth Taylor as Flora "Sissy" Goforth, a wealthy and supposedly dying woman, living in a secluded island mansion with her servants and nurses. Her life is disrupted by the arrival of Christopher Flanders, a mysterious man known as "Angelo Del Morte" and "The Witch of Capri" enters the scene, fueling speculation that he may be "The Angel of Death".
