Vaclav "Vasek" Chaloupek, a Czech animal photographer and filmmaker, takes in two orphaned bear twins, Lilly and Ben, and raises them as a "replacement mom" in his Bohemian Forest home. With the help of animal reporter Paula, Vasek and Paula successfully care for the bears, teaching them to run and grow. After 54 days, the bears leave their home and go on daily walks with Vasek and Paula, encountering other animals and experiencing exciting and bizarre situations. However, as the bears grow, a concern arises about their ability to survive in the wild. Ultimately, Vasek and Paula find a solution that allows the bears to thrive while also ensuring their safety.
