Childhood friends Kiyo and Sumire from Aomori Prefecture move to Kyoto to become maiko, with Sumire exceling due to her talent and dedication, while Kiyo faces challenges and is eventually expelled. However, Kiyo discovers a hidden talent for cooking and becomes the maiko house chef, supporting Sumire and the others through her culinary skills. Each episode features two parts: an event, followed by Kiyo preparing a meal and sharing it with Sumire, discussing techniques, history, and more, as they enjoy tea together.
