Through a Glass Darkly

A family gathers at their summer home on an island off Sweden to celebrate the patriarch's return from writing a novel in the Swiss Alps. The family's dynamics are strained due to the father's frequent absences, leaving the 17-year-old son Minus feeling confused and vulnerable. Minus struggles with repressed emotions, including not feeling loved by his father and navigating female sexuality. Meanwhile, the mother Karin has recently been released from a mental institution and is struggling to cope with her illness, which affects her son Minus the most.
