Tony, a wealthy aristocrat, hires a loyal and efficient servant named Hugo Barrett, but his girlfriend Susan disapproves of him. When Barrett's sister Vera joins the household, Tony has a secret affair with her. However, their relationship is exposed when Susan returns to find Barrett and Vera together in Tony's room. The couple is fired, and Susan leaves Tony. Tony later rehires Barrett, but Barrett reveals his true sinister intentions, turning the tables and taking control of the house.
