A massive fleet of spaceships approaches Earth, and two aliens, a male and female, land in human form. They're captured by US soldiers, but giant robots appear at major cities, proving impervious to all attacks. The female, Skye, forms a bond with soldier Josh and reveals her mission: to determine if human life should continue by sundown.
