Mr. Grimes, a ruthless caretaker, mistreats a group of orphans on his farm in the American South, forcing them to work in his garden like slaves. The eldest, Molly, oversees the group. When a gang kidnaps the wealthy man's beautiful daughter, Doris, and hides her on the farm, Molly must lead the orphans through the treacherous swamp to escape the authorities and Mr. Grimes' wrath.
