The film tells the story of Bobby Frank Cherry, a man who was involved in the 1963 bombing of a Birmingham church that killed four black girls. Years later, the case is reopened and Bobby is the main suspect. His middle-aged son, Tom, must choose between shielding his father from the law or revealing the truth and bringing justice to the victims.
