Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins

Kenshin Himura, a former assassin, roams Japan with a reverse-edged sword, vowing to defend those in need without killing. He becomes embroiled in a battle against the powerful opium drug lord Kanryuu Takeda, who seeks to take over a school and its idealistic owner, Kaoru Kamiya. As the stakes rise, Kenshin teams up with the street fighter Sanosuke Sagara to take down their common enemy and save the school from Kanryuu's deadly plans.
