In Point Pleasant, a group of teenagers accidentally kills a boy while playing a prank and decides to cover it up. Years later, one of them, a journalist, returns to her hometown to cover the Mothman Festival and is soon hunted down by the creature, along with her former friends and boyfriend. They seek help from an old blind man who has been trying to capture the Mothman for years.
