In Tokyo, a freelance cameraman's fixation on capturing the sensation of fear near death leads him to investigate a suicidal man's final moments. After photographing the man's gruesome act, he becomes obsessed with recreating the same sense of horror. His search takes him to the Tokyo underground, where he encounters a mysterious, silent woman who doesn't speak. He brings her back to his home, initially trying to care for her, but soon discovers her dark secret: she drinks blood.
