Jeanne, a young woman with striking features but limited qualities, fails to secure a job at a lawyer's office despite her mother's efforts. She instead becomes involved with Franck, a wrestler with grandiose claims, and falls for his charm. However, when Franck is arrested, he turns on Jeanne, and she seeks attention by fabricating a story of being attacked on a train.
