Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff, the new president of Huxley College, prioritizes fun over education, much to the dismay of his son Frank, who is smitten with college widow Connie Bailey. Wagstaff's unorthodox approach leads him to recruit two unlikely football players, Baravelli and Pinky, to help his team beat rival school Darwin. However, things take a chaotic turn when Wagstaff discovers Darwin has already recruited the "real" players, prompting him to enlist Baravelli and Pinky in a wild kidnapping scheme that culminates in a rowdy football finale.
