A convicted murderer, escorted by marshals, is transported on a commercial flight from Phoenix to Dallas. However, two accomplices posing as regular passengers hijack the plane, freeing the prisoner. The convict then demands a ransom of 20 million dollars in bonds, refusing to back down despite poor weather, mechanical issues, or a passenger's illness.
