A disillusioned German soldier deserts his post after a pit stop at a fast-food joint and returns home, only to be met with the news that his girlfriend has moved on. He finds himself drawn to his brother's new Danish actress girlfriend, but his advances are rebuffed. As his frustration grows, he becomes increasingly aggressive towards those around him, including his brother, old friend, and ex-girlfriend, all while the military closes in on his whereabouts.
