Army of Shadows

Under German occupation in 1942 France, Philippe Gerbier, a French Resistance commandant, is interned in a concentration camp after being denounced by a French collaborator. He escapes and rejoins his network in Marseille, where he executes the traitor. The movie portrays the harsh realities of life in the French Resistance, including the isolation and fear of its members, their relationships, and the constant threat of Gestapo arrest.
