A former Lufthansa steward, infected with HIV, travels to Rio de Janeiro with a film crew to search for a young man he had a one-night stand with. The man, who had left a haunting message on the bathroom mirror, seems to always be one step ahead. The search takes them to the district of Via Appia, a notorious area known for male prostitution, where they enlist the help of a charismatic hustler to track him down.
