The Rebel's Son

In 16th century Ukraine, a young Cossack is sent to Poland to learn the art of warfare, with the ultimate goal of freeing his people from Polish rule and reclaiming their independence.

The 16th-century Cossacks, led by their Ukrainian homeland, are under Polish rule. The Cossack leader sends his son to study with the Poles, intending to learn their battle tactics to ultimately defeat them. But the son becomes smitten with the daughter of a Polish nobleman.
