A group of young people in Los Angeles struggle to achieve their Hollywood dreams while confronting harsh realities. Brayden, a young writer, is obsessed with Charles Bukowski and tries to write his first novel, while his girlfriend Claudia works in the entertainment industry despite hating it. She's searching for the truth behind her father's death from her childhood. Brayden falls for Estrella, a beautiful and ambitious French actress who works in prostitution to make a name for herself, but she decides to leave after encountering a sleazy producer. Meanwhile, Nicholas, a dying computer engineer, is waiting for a liver transplant and is heartbroken about missing his son's childhood. His sister Grace and her friend Jennifer work to raise money for his transplant after the insurance company refuses to pay.
