In November 1944, Cologne-Ehrenfeld, two young and rebellious brothers, Karl and Peter, are Edelweiss Pirates, opposing the Nazi regime. They're pursued by the Gestapo and join forces with escaped prisoner Hans Steinbrück to plan acts of sabotage. As they're eventually arrested, Karl must navigate his desire to survive, sense of responsibility, love for his brother, and loyalty to the Edelweiss Pirates.
