Bongwan, a publishing house owner in Seoul, wakes up unusually early. His wife asks why, but he gives a vague answer. As he walks to work, he thinks about the woman who left him a month prior. At the office, he meets Areum, his new young secretary, who starts her first day. Meanwhile, his wife discovers a love poem he wrote and, mistakenly believing Areum is his mistress, attacks her at the office.
