In Maine, Benjamin "Ben" prepares to leave for Los Angeles to pursue a career in gay porn. His friend Dom, who has a crush on him, offers to help with expenses by trafficking drugs to Canada. However, when Dom discovers he must swallow packages, he refuses, leading Alice, the drug dealer, to force them. After crossing the border, they're accosted by a bully who bursts a package, releasing a strange bug. When Ben takes Dom to the hospital, they find his truck with flat tires. The police are called, but Alice takes them to her boss Rich's hideout, where they're forced to retrieve expensive bugs that induce hallucinations.
