At a summer space camp, a group of American teenagers learn the ins and outs of operating the Space Shuttle. Among them is a young man who signed up for the adventure hoping to impress some girls, a wannabe astronaut eager to take his skills to new heights, and a seasoned instructor who's been relegated to teaching duties instead of going on a real mission. When they're unexpectedly given the chance to test the Shuttle's engines, they find themselves blasting off into space.
