So Big! background

So Big!

A young woman starts anew as a teacher in a small town, looking to leave her past behind and find herself after a devastating loss.

Selina's life takes a dramatic turn after her father's passing, as her aunts sell the estate and send her to boarding school. As an adult, she longs to become a teacher in rural farming country, where she eventually marries Pervus, a Dutch farmer she has been tutoring. However, her happiness is short-lived as Pervus passes away, leaving her hopes pinned on their son Dirk. Despite her expectations, Dirk abandons his passion for architecture to pursue a career in stock brokerage, leaving Selina heartbroken. Her new ray of hope arrives in the form of Roelfe, the son of her former boardinghouse keeper, who is a talented sculptor. As Selina watches Dirk fall for Dallas O'Mara, she hopes that her new love interest will be the catalyst for her son's redemption.
