A Texan fort commander defies surrender to Northerners, seeking to buy the daughter of a local Indian tribe chief. When the chief refuses, the Southerners massacre the tribe and abduct the young woman. She escapes and finds refuge with a rancher who detests Indians but despises Southerners more.
