In 1916, Russia, Rasputin wields power over the indecisive Czar Nicholas, while the Czarina views him as divine. He influences the Czar's decisions and premier choices, and even assaults a baroness, forcing her to trade favors with him to save her husband. Despite being banished, Rasputin still finds a way to manipulate the Czar, leading to a disastrous war strategy change. A group of nobles decides to take matters into their own hands and host a final dinner party for the meddling monk.
