Vietnam veteran Billy Ray Lancing, a wildlife refuge worker in Alaska, exchanges letters with 13-year-old Polish orphan Irina Morawska, whom he's financially supporting. When the letters stop, Billy travels to Poland to investigate, discovering a human trafficking network behind Irina's orphanage. Financed by unsuspecting donors, the operation, run by Faisal, sells girls worldwide. Billy, using secret codes taught Irina, tracks Faisal's movements and teams up with local cop Kasia Lato to rescue Irina and other girls, and dismantle the network.
