One for the Money

Stephanie Plum, a Jersey girl, is unemployed and in financial trouble. She takes a job as a skip tracer at her cousin's bail bonds office, only to discover that Joe Morelli, a former intimate, is one of the fugitives she's tasked with tracking. Despite initial setbacks, Stephanie eventually finds Morelli, who claims to be innocent of the crime he's accused of and is determined to prove his innocence. As she works to clear his name, Stephanie finds herself in increasingly perilous situations, ultimately relying on Morelli to rescue her.
