In the film, Howard Thorne, a man living in Los Angeles, is a predator who preys on unsuspecting women, terrorizing and assaulting them. As he struggles to distinguish reality from fantasy, his dark desires and nightmares consume him. Meanwhile, his wife Vicki, who is struggling with her own addiction, becomes increasingly desperate for his attention. At a masquerade party, Vicki discovers the shocking truth about Howard's nature, and he is stalked by one of his recent victims.
