A young teacher, Ugyen, is sent to the remote Himalayan village of Lunana, after shirking his duties and planning to pursue a singing career in Australia. He faces a challenging journey to get there and finds himself in a village with no electricity, textbooks, or blackboard. Despite the difficulties, the villagers welcome him warmly, and he begins to learn about the hardships of the children he teaches. Through his experiences, he is transformed by the spiritual strength of the villagers.
