Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist, has formed connections with an Al-like figure and a Rose-like gypsy while on the other side of the gate. He discovers the Germans' plan to open the gate and invade his and his brother Al's homeland. Despite Al's efforts, he's unable to stop the entire invasion, and Edward's alchemy is rendered useless in the other side.
