Strippers and vaudeville comedians entertain at the Modern Follies Theater, while office workers scheme to escape their demanding boss, Mr. Quigby, and indulge in the theater's offerings. One employee, Joe, juggles his responsibilities as a horse player and helps his wife find a foreign chef for a dinner party, all while moonlighting as a voyeur with his telescope, taking in the burlesque shows across the street. But his plans are threatened when his horse starts to win.
